STUDY FLASH IN TEACHING

Why do people choose flash animation in their method of
teaching nowadays ? Flash animation tends to be more interesting in the
performance, easy in the application, more economical in the using of computer's
memory, and more interactive. In the practical the flash' file can only be
played by the flash player, nevertheles it can also be played by an html
extension. So that we can open it by internet explorer. To be able to make a
file with swf ending, we must pass through the complicted ways where we should
make it in the file with fla ending first. After that we can continue the
process tobe a file with swf ending. This file can't be edited by the other
person but only by the writer or the owner

Preparation

To be able to make swf file, we need some software for
example if we want to make a website, we need dreamweaver 8 software, there we
can easier to make it and more practical beacause we just change the title or
the other changing as we need. As we want to make an education programme that
using flash animation we just need some pictures for backgrounds . So that we
need flash 8 software to make it. We can use front page or dreamweaver as its
editors. Internet explorer is very important as a media tester.

The important of flash animation in teaching method is it
can be used as a teaching aids therefore all the teachers can explain the
teaching matery easily and more interesting . It is more practical because it
can be put into the CD so that it can be taken anywhere easily . We don't need
to take some complicated teaching aids. Actually the students are very keen and
more antusiatic because it is more interactive and easy to carry out. With the
flash animation the teaching learning process is more lively because we can hear
some music and listen to some instructions given. We can also insert the
instruction voice to the CD so that the teachers can a little bit save their
energy.

To insert flash into website

Eventhough there are many applications to manage a web but until now there hasn't been aplication as good as dreamweaver as a supporter for flash. It also supports for HTML editing manually. Moreover dreamweaver can manipulate movie flash using ation script so you can ad interesting elemen to your web. As dreamweaver there is also another programme for editing a website namely microsoft frontpage 2000 which is very support to flash though we should use plug in. Adobe golive is another one to edit flash. It can edit as well as its originale file. Flash will make an HTML document as it publishes to swf file. You can open it in the notepad or as a new web file. The last option is we will export a movie flash into a gif animation or Java applet. more than swf file. On this way can produce the bigger picture but it doesn't mean it can be opened in the any browser without any plug in and edited by a web software.

The voice and script

Without calculating the picture, with flash you can also impot the format of voice MP3, WAV, and AIFF. These can be inserted into flash. The easiest way is by using standard of object action that can be managed for the first pallette. If you want a little bit complicated, use the standard language of web namely Java script. Making Puzzle

We can make a croosword puzzle in flash that can be used by our students to entertain them. In sudying English it is very useful to enlarge the student's vocabulary. Just make some boxes in flash as many as we need. Then make some letters. A for example . It must be change into the the symbol choose movie clip. ad the action script on press start dragg, on release stop dragging. you can do that as many as possible. Change the word or paragraph into a movie clip. add the action script on release play. In the line 12 of the timeline insert key frame. move the picture in the direction you want. Making a conversation by two people.

Draw or insert the two people. Make two call outs. The first people will speak at line 12 of the frame of the first layer, and the second people will speak at line 50 of the frame of the first layer. During holidays many teachers give the task for their students. Eventhough they are in Bali Island they can still doing their task. In fact their school is in Semarang Central Java Indonesia. How can it be ? Of course they are using internet that can be accessed by people round the world. The task is made in the flash programme and uploaded in it. The matery of the task is difference with those of the answersheets. They are in the different files.The student can fill their names, etc , answer the questions, and send it through e-mail to their teachers. After reading e-mail the teacher can print it or just save it in their flash disk. They will make correction later. Multiple choise

To make multiple choice items you can start with typing the item tests which students can choose the best answer eg : a, b, c, d, etc change those letters with symbols buttons, add the action script on release go to, choose the scene number in which the criteria define whether it is rignt or wrong. Teaching in the Laboratory

Turn on all the buttons on the dashboard or master control panel. Insert the CD lesson in the CD rom. Open the current programme. The LCD will hightlight the computer monitor on the wall or screen. Give the instruction to the students using micropone. By clicking the button, start the lesson that is made in flash programme. Give the questions to the students, and they should answer using their microphone. Doing this, press the student's boot number on the dasboard pabel. The other students will hear the answer. Check the students answer by asking question to the others. Judging whether it is right or wrong click the flash button. Matching

Match the statement on the left with the appropriate word on the right. After making the statement on the left change it into a symbol movie clip. Add the action script on release play. Insert the key frame on timeline no 12. Move the movie clip forward. Change the movie clip with arrow picture. Mount the arrow to the appropriate word. The arrow picture will be on the line 24 of the timeline. Don't forget to add motion picture between 1 and 12 and 24 of the timeline number. PEMBELAJARAN MEMBUAT NILAI RAPOR

Selama liburan ini siswa menunggu tanggal pemberian rapor. Karena libur panjang siswa tidak sabar menunggu. Itulah mengapa ada ide memberikan buku laporan pendidikan atau rapor secara on line. Sebahagian siswa berlibur ke luar kota, dan sebagian lagi di rumah. sambil browsing, eee sudah tahu hasilnya. Lumayan kan hemat waktu. Orangtua siswa yang sudah lanjut dapat melihat kemajuan anaknya tanpa dapat dibohongi, dan tidak usah repot ke sekolah. Cukup wali siswa yang mengambil rapor nya.Kejadian apa saja dan kemampuan apa saja yg dialami dan dimiliki anaknya dapat dimonitor dari mana saja dan kapan saja. MEMBUAT RAPORT DAN DAFTAR NILAI DENGAN ANIMASI FLASH

Untuk dapat membuat daftar nilai dengan animasi flash terlebih dahulu kita membuatnya dengan macromedia flash 8 dan kita akan memiliki file dengan extension fla. Setelah itu kita lihat movie nya dan simpan. Selanjutnya kita transfer ke dreamweaver dan kita simpan filenya dalam extension HTML.
